  • Princeton senior linemen Payne Miller is the 2023 NewsTribune Defensive Football Player of the Year.

  • A Red Covered Bridge article was posted on WQAD: "Most of the tresses on the north end of the bridge were all compromised and ripped out, so the roof basically collapsed and the walls on the north end started flaring out," said Princeton City Clerk Peter Nelson. "I was pretty much devastated. I got a sick feeling in my stomach and I just could not believe the extent of the damage and also the unfortunate circumstances of why it happened. It did not need to happen."

  • WLPO: A spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Transportation, Paul Wappel says an assessment of the damage on the Red Covered Bridge from the November 16th incident is going to take months. IDOT workers are installing supports to shore up the 1864 structure for the winter.

  • The Princeton Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated the Hall Red Devils 63-41.

  • The Winter Extravaganza is coming Tuesday, Dec. 19, to Princeton Public Library. There will be holiday craft stations for all ages, warm drinks and treats and story times at 3:30 p.m. in the Youth Service area, as well as a carol sing-along. The library will be closed for Christmas and New Year's holiday.

  • Tristan Borovicka, an eighth grader at Princeton Logan Junior High School, was one of two tenor saxophone players selected for the All-Illinois Junior Band (BCR).
