  • Cyle Dickens from KWQC is set to present at a severe weather preparedness event at the Princeton Fire Department this today. Remember to RSVP with the fire department for attendance. The event features live sessions at 5 PM & 6 PM, with the main presentation beginning at 6:30 PM at the fire station.

  • BCR: “Rodney Johnson said restoring the Sash Stalter Matson Building in Princeton has been rewarding on multiple levels. He was one of six volunteers from veterans groups honored Friday night for their help with the building.”

  • Logan Junior High will host a Scholastic Book Fair. The event will include an art show alongside the book fair. The dates and times are as follows:

Today: There will be some clouds in the morning, but they'll give way to mainly sunny skies in the afternoon. Expect a high of around 43°F with west winds at 10 to 20 mph. The evening will see a few clouds with a low of 27°F and lighter west winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Partly cloudy skies with a high around 55°F are anticipated. Winds will be from the west at 5 to 10 mph. A few clouds will move in from time to time during the evening, with a low of 34°F. Winds will be light and variable.

Friday: The day will be cloudy with a high of 63°F. Winds from the south-southeast will be at 10 to 15 mph. In the evening, steady rain is expected to begin, with showers continuing late into the night. The temperature will hover around 50°F, and the chance of rain will increase to 70%.

Saturday: The morning will bring a few showers, followed by clouds lingering into the afternoon. The high should be near 64°F, with west winds at 10 to 15 mph. The evening will be mostly cloudy early but will become partly cloudy late, with a low of 39°F and north winds at 5 to 10 mph.

  • The Wyanet Firemen's Brunch is being held at the Wyanet Fire Department on Sunday, April 21st, from 7 A.M. to NOON. They'll serve pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy. The event is based on a free-will donation with proceeds going towards equipment. There will also be raffles.

  • Sheffield Illinois Public Library has extended sign-ups for the "Under the Sea at the Library" Spring Story Hour.
