Trout fishing

Good morning, my Princeton people. I'm currently in Branson, at Lake Taneycomo for a men's retreat, fishing for trout with some guys from our church. Rainbow trout are beautiful fish, and I look forward to updating you on my catches, as well as the inevitable mishaps and trouble I stir up. Meanwhile, there are some cool things happening back in Princeton too.

Let’s get to it.

⛱️Weather Update: Extended Summer Heat Continues into Fall

As we approach the official start of fall, the warm grip of summer shows no signs of loosening. Over the next several days, the Midwest is forecasted to experience temperatures soaring into the 80s. This trend is predicted to extend the current streak of warm weather to an impressive 13 consecutive days, as outlined by the EURO and GFS models.

Weather models, including the EURO meteogram, project that these above-average temperatures will continue through late September. An entrenched high-pressure ridge over the central United States is the primary factor, maintaining warmer temperatures and effectively blocking colder northern air from moving south.

Rainfall will be scarce, with the likelihood of showers or thunderstorms remaining below 25%. This minimal chance of precipitation is primarily due to residual moisture from what was once Hurricane Florence, suggesting only isolated showers are likely during this period.

As we move towards October, the extended forecast indicates that this pattern will persist, possibly setting records for one of the longest stretches of warmth this late in the year.
