👓LETTER FROM LORI

Good morning, beautiful people! I hope you are all focused on your goals! I have recently acquired my official "old lady necklace"...cheater glasses on a string. I need them all the time to see things that are close. I've needed glasses for YEARS to see things far from me, but only recently have I needed them to see things right in front of my face.

Isn't that how life is? We expect things in our future to be unclear. We can squint and turn our heads, but we know until we get closer, they won't come into focus. But those things that are in our present, we believe to be clear. As we age, our perception of our current situation and the awareness that it isn't so straightforward or black and white becomes an increasing problem. Our maturity leads us to the conclusion that maybe things could be more in focus. We don't even realize how fuzzy it is until we cave in and, protesting, put those Dollar General cheaters on our face and realize the words we are reading do have edges and objects have boundaries. How much easier life becomes when we get into the habit of using our glasses to see things.

Oftentimes, we misplace our glasses and stumble around blindly, smacking the table with our hands, searching for them. How often do we find that we have simply slid them up on our heads, and they were within reach the whole time?

Our age and wisdom also shorten our "herp derp" moments, and we know where to find them more quickly so we can bring everything back into focus before disaster strikes and we slam into a wall.

So, if things seem out of focus or unclear, put on your "old people necklace," or check the top of your head, and get the assistance you need to bring life back into clarity 👀👵👴👓
