  • On Sunday, September 29 at 3 PM, a "Lost in the 50's and 60's Concert" will take place at Soldiers Sailors Park, featuring "The Generic's Goodies Band" and sponsored by GES Sound. The event is free and offers attendees a chance to sing, dance, or simply enjoy the music. Vintage attire is encouraged, and bringing a lawn chair is recommended, weather permitting.

  • Tigertown Tanglers Wrestling Club is now accepting sign-ups for the 2024-2025 season. There are three opportunities to register at Skoonerz Bar and Grill on September 23, 25, and October 6.

  • Friends of Strays invites you to save the date for an open house on October 5th from 12-4 PM. Join them for an afternoon filled with food, music, raffles, and much more to support their mission.

  • The Bureau, Putnam, and Marshall County Health Departments will begin flu vaccinations by appointment starting on September 26. Flu shots will be available in Putnam and Marshall Counties on Thursdays, while Bureau County will offer them on Fridays. To schedule an appointment, call Bureau County at 815-872-5091, and don’t forget to bring your insurance card.

  • Mary Pfeifer will headline "Simply Patsy" at the Grace Theater in Princeton on October 12th, 2024, celebrating the music of Patsy Cline with shows at 2 PM and 7 PM. The performance, featuring the Pearl Handle Band, aims to bring Cline's music to life and provide an evening filled with nostalgia. Special themed refreshments will be available, and the Coal Creek Brewing Company will offer a special release beer, "After Midnight," a raspberry blackberry pilsner. Tickets for the show can be purchased online, with prices set at $25, promising a heartfelt homage to one of country music's greats.

🇩🇪PRINCETON OKTOBERFEST

Oktoberfest is scheduled for Saturday, October 5th at Rotary Park from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event promises a blend of music, food, and traditional games, featuring a special performance by country artist Mae Estes at 5:00 PM.

Activities include a Lederhosen bike ride at 3:00 PM, a steinholding competition at 6:00 PM, and a sausage toss competition at 7:00 PM.
