  • City of Princeton: Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours wil be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Participating households should have a porch light on. Trick-or-Treaters should do their best to be visible and be mindful of traffic at al times. Vehicle drivers should do their best to be mindful of low-visibility costumes and children crossing the roadways at all times.

  • Early voting is now available at the Bureau County Clerk’s Office, open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM until November 5th.

  • The Princeton Rotary Club is hosting a blood drive on October 8th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rotary Park. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome, and participants should bring a photo ID.

  • The Princeton Fire Department will be at Culver’s on October 22nd from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for a Touch-A-Truck event. Families can come by for cheese curds and to check out the fire engine and ambulance.

  • The Bureau County Emergency Management Agency is seeking volunteers to join its Field Service Unit. Opportunities include emergency communications, EOC support, and field operations, and interested individuals can find more information on their website.

  • Shadows of the Blue and Gray will take place at City County Park on October 12th and 13th, with a School Day by appointment on October 11th.

  • The 2024 Illinois fall trout season will open Saturday, Oct. 19 at 60 ponds, lakes, and streams throughout the state.
