PHS wrestler Augustus Swanson was named “Athlete of the Week” by the NewsTribune.
The 6th Grade Logan Lions Girls Volleyball Team got 1st place at the JFK Volleyball Tournament.
WLPO: “Want to play a role in the success of the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp baseball team? Be a host family for a player. Host families are needed for the upcoming season that runs from late May into August. Some Pistol Shrimp interns are also in need of a host family. You could step up if you have a spare bedroom or basement available. Minimum hosting requirements include access to a bathroom and laundry, and a private sleeping space. Today: overcast throughout the day, with temperatures hovering around 34-36°F. There’s a slight chance of light snow in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Tuesday: similar conditions with overcast skies. Temperatures will likely stay consistent with Monday’s, ranging in the mid-30s.
Wednesday: the overcast conditions are expected to continue, maintaining the trend of cool and cloudy weather with temperatures in the mid-30s.

Ben Parr, a 2004 Princeton High School graduate, has made quite a name for himself. Born in 1985, Parr showed promise early on, becoming an Eagle Scout and finishing top of his class in high school. He’s best known for his book "Captivology," which explores how to grab and hold people's attention. This book, released in 2015, has been recognized as a top marketing book and reflects his deep understanding of audience engagement. Apart from being an author, Parr is also a savvy entrepreneur. He co-founded Octane AI, a company that creates chatbots for various brands.
