  • PHS Varsity Boys Basketball plays their first home game against Newman Central Catholic Tuesday at 7pm. The wrestling season opens at Morrison High School, Tuesday at 5:30.

  • River Bend Food Bank will visit the Bureau County Fairgrounds November 30th. If you are sincerely low on food, you're invited to come and register at 9:15. Indoor distribution will start at 10 and will likely take two hours.  Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before distribution. Laundry baskets are a good way to carry away your food.

  • The Home for the Holidays Christmas Light Drive Thru reopens December 1st, 3rd, and 8th at the Bureau County Fairgrounds.

  • Princeton’s Christmas Tree Lighting will take place Friday, December 1st at 6pm @ Veterans Park on Main Street. A parade sponsored by the Princeton Lion’s Club will follow, starting on Marquette Street. After this, a Candy Cane Hunt at Soldier’s and Sailor’s Park will commence at 7pm.

  • Breakfast with Santa is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Bureau County Fairgrounds.

  • Fresh Florida Citrus Shop will be selling oranges at the Tractor Supply Company Monday, December 4th from 3pm-4pm.

  • Come Knit and Crochet with Chicks with Sticks at the Princeton Public Library, Wednesday, December 6th at 5:30.

     

  • Apollo Theater is hosting a Polar Express Pajama Party. Doors open at 11:30am. Meet Santa and the Conductor. Popcorn, candy, and drink are included in the $5 ticket.

  • The Home for the Holidays Christmas Craft and Vendor Show and Flea Market is at the Bureau County Fairgrounds Saturday, December 9th from 8am-2pm.

Local Music

  • Festival 56 presents Music, Memories, and Merriment: an Evening of Songs with Sarah Smith. Friday and Saturday, December 1st and 2nd at 7:30pm @ Grace Performing Arts Center. Buy tickets here.

  • Saturday, December 2nd, 3pm: FiddleRock! will be at the Hawg House Saloon. Rock, pop, metal, and country. Hear the music of Tool, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Chicago, Dire Straits, AC/DC, Charlie Daniels, Guns-n-Roses, Led Zeppelin, and more—all on violin.

  • Sunday, December 8th, 3pm: Princeton Community Band will perform at Princeton High School.

  • The Princeton High School Madrigal Singers will perform at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 at the Barn at Hornbaker Gardens, located 22937 County Rd. 1140 N. in Princeton (BCR). You can order your tickets here.
